My name is Jessica Ramos, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of J. Soulae Therapy, PLLC. I'm a Maternal Mental Health Therapist helping individuals heal through Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders during Pregnancy and Postpartum, Fertility Challenges, Birth Trauma and Pregnancy/Infant Loss. I opened J. Soulae Therapy in 2022, after my passion for helping new mothers overcome Perinatal challenges became a burning desire.
I attended Howard University where I completed my graduate studies and earned a Masters in Social Work degree. I have received advanced training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs). I have received my PMH-C certification through Postpartum Support International. It has been my commitment to improve Maternal Mental Health outcomes and provide a safe, supportive space for clients to overcome any challenges they encounter. Having experienced Perinatal Depression and Anxiety myself, I have made it my mission to reduce the stigma around and bring awareness to Perinatal Mental Health. Becoming a mother and navigating the demands of parenthood has provided me with a unique perspective and ability to relate personally and professionally. My work focuses on providing supportive services, quality care and an interdisciplinary approach to Maternal Mental Health.
I believe in utilizing a non-judgmental, nurturing approach that allows clients to feel supported, seen, and understood. Understanding that there is no such thing as "one size fits all" when it comes to mental health and wellbeing, extreme care is given to provide clients with a uniquely individualized approach that will encourage them to tap into their strengths, feel confident and take advantage of their support system. My passion lies in helping individuals navigate the journey of parenthood every step of the way!
